Wedgwood Wild Strawberry China Pattern

Wedgwood introduced the Wild Strawberry pattern in 1965. Detailed leaves and flowers are intertwined with luscious strawberries set on a creamy white background. The collector can choose either the accent salad plate, which has a wide, marbleized green rim, or the matching salad plate. Wedgwood Wild Strawberry China is rimmed in 22 karat gold.

James Kent Strawberry and Butterfly Pattern

James Kent, Old Foley china, Strawberry and Butterfly pattern is Staffordshire and made in England. The china has a fluted rim with strawberries and leaves in an all over pattern on the china. Butterflies are scattered throughout. This china pattern can be difficult to find in the United States. Available pieces include:

Royal Worcester Strawberry Fair

The Strawberry Fair pattern is made up of large sprays of berries and leaves with butterflies and bees. It also has a gold rim. This pattern shows more white space than either of the previous patterns.Items in this collection include:

Queens/Rosina Virginia Strawberry

Like so many strawberry china patterns, Virginia Strawberry has fluted edges and a gold rim. This pattern is more contemporary in look with a large cluster of plump berries, delicate flowers and large green leaves. A spray of leaves and smaller berries is scattered over the opposite rim. Yellow butterflies finish the motif. It was manufactured from 1948 through 1952.Besides the fluted design with gold rim Virginia Strawberry comes in:

Johnson Brothers Strawberry Fair

Johnson Brothers also manufactured a pattern called Strawberry Fair. It is a red transferware pattern with the bulk of the motif arranged in a wide band around the edge. The rim on the plates is scalloped.Many of the bowls and cups have a small, matching motif inside. The bowl rims are decorated with a rope design, strawberries and daisies. This is one of the more unique of the strawberry china patterns. It was manufactured from 1959 to 1973.

Johnson Brothers also manufactured a version of this pattern in blue transferware and called it Strawberry Fayre.

Minton Victoria Strawberry White

One of the most unique strawberry designs is Minton's Victoria Strawberry White, an embossed white on white design which is derived from an original Minton hand painted motif. The Victoria Strawberry pattern was named for Queen Victoria. It has been in production continuously since the 1850s. The hand painted version was owned by Queen Victoria and is still in use by the Royal Family.

This pattern is also available in an embossed gold on white version which is breathtaking.

Homer Laughlin Brittany Strawberry

The Homer Laughlin Brittany Strawberry pattern was produced from 1939 to 1950. It is a smooth design with bright contemporary strawberries and leaves on a white background. The pattern covers the wide rims of the plates and other dishes, keeping the center free of design.
