Doing a quick search around the Internet I found them for between 5-15 depending on condition and who was on the cover. Keep an eye on eBay and you should be able to evaluate them. Good luck.

Ron I found 2 1917 baseball magazines on ebay for 125.00 each. Now, they hadn't sold and had no bids..so I don't know if this is an accurate evaluation or not. Your best bet is to take them to a local appraiser. Good luck.

generally these magazines have very little value...less than $2 per copy..however, if you have holiday issues that have intersting artwork on the covers and you post them on ebay near the holiday pictured you can sometimes realize up to $30 an issue. Hope this helps.

Nic - the best thing to do is to check ebay and see if there are selling there, and for how much. You can also try to run an ad on Craigslist. Good luck.

Bernice, it is up to you. If you are keeping them as an investment the answer is probably no. They may be worth more for the advertising pages in them than the magazine itself. Check eBay for similar issues and see what they are selling for. Good luck.

Laura, The value depends on condition, which magazine it is, and many other variables. For an accurate appraisal you need to take it to a local apprasier. If you want a ballpark figure then try doing a search for the same item on ebay. Hope this helps.

Tammy, for the most accurate evaluation you should take your magazines to an experienced appraiser. Values will vary from locality to locality and month to month. I can tell you however that 1957 Hot Rod Magazines average about 10.00 on eBay as of March 2009.

I want to know how much some magazines are worth that I have. They are in plastics covers since they were purchased. I have an Hot Rod Ooct 1957 magazine, Car Craft April 1965, Motor Guide June 1957, 1969 High Performance cars and Hot Rod World's Fastest Truck Sept 1955.

I have some old (~20 years) Consumer Reports magazines. Does anybody want these? I could recycle them, but if someone wants them, that would be better than recycling.

As you know, this was a British Magazine that was published form 1914 to 1918 and covered World War One. It was one of the best pieces of British propaganda, many of the articles were not so much based on fact as they were written to induce patriotism. These are a fantastic piece of history! As to their value? It is hard to say what they would go for at an auction amongst collectors of WWI items. It would vary from area to area. I suggest you contact someone that specializes in items from WWI and have them take a look. Good luck!

William, unless the address is famous then there is not much difference. As far as the Brad Pitt magazine layouts being worth something..it is hard to know what will be collectible in the future. If you like them then you should collect them for your own sake.

Is there a difference in value if a magazine is bought with the newsstand vs something that has a personal mailing address label. Also, do you think People magazine photospreads of their new babies, Brad Pitt and Jolie will be worth anything in the future?

We are unable to do appraisals here, I am sorry. Saying that, magazines vary greatly in value depending on the issue, who or what was on the cover, etc. The vast majority of magazines are worth more by selling the individual ads to vintage advertising collectors! However, the best thing to do is to check with a local appraiser..you can also get an idea by doing a search for that magazine and issue on ebay. Good luck.

Roberta, Look magazine was a very popular news/human interest magazine for many years. The ads and pictures in those old magazines are fantastic.

Hello Elaine - Unfortunately, I am not able to give appraisals. Magazines similiar to yours do sell on Ebay so that would be one place to check. Also contacting a local antique shop that has knowledge of old magazines or visiting "What's it Worth to You" (which can be found on google.com) to find an appraiser are two other suggestions. Your best bet is to try local antique dealers for information. They can tell you who in your area collects magazines.

We have plenty of different types of old magazines, women's magazines, Sports Illustrated etc. in pretty good conditions. We would like to find a shop near the place we live to sell them. Is there a list of bookshops interested in old magazines? I couldn't find it....can you please please help me? We live in Union City, Ca. 94587.
