Rick, the value of coins is very variable...depending on the condition, the actual coin etc. We can't do appraisals here, and I generally don't even try to give a ballpark for coins because of those factors. They are worth more than a penny. To find out an exact value take them to a local appraiser. Good luck!

I have heard that the 1945 US or Canadian Penny is worth something? I heard that they needed the copper or something for the bullets for the war??? Can this be correct?

Fred, I have seen them recently selling for between $10.00 and $25.00 depending on the condition. I suggest you take it to a local coin appraiser to get a definite and accurate value. Good luck!

I have an 1882 canadian silver dime in decent shape...any value?

coin, All Canadian coins have Queen Elizabeth on the face. Your coin sounds like a Canadian nickle which would be worth face value depending on the year. Hope this helps.

I have in my possession a canadian coin that on one side there is a beaver and the other side there is the Queen Elizabeth II. Can you please let me know if it is worth anything.

Sandman,

I am sorry we can't do appraisals. I suggest that you take it to a local coin dealer for the very best appraisal. Good luck!

I have come across a Canadian penny dated 1939 I was wondering if it had value?

I am not able to give you a specific value. It may be worth $1 or so but you'll need to contact a coin collector in your area.

I found a 1952 Canadian penny with a mans face and the words "Georgivs VI Dei Gratia Rex." I just wanted to know If it has some value.

They may be worth several dollars each but this depends on several factors. You will need to consult a coin dealer in your area who can examine the coins in person.

I am a amateur coin collecter, im extremly new to the hobby. I found a canadien penny from 1964. The head on the back of the coin has "pigtails" or longer hair, the more modern coins don't. Could this be a misprint? If you could respond that would be great.
