Rev John Brown is my Great Great Great Grandad and we had one of his bibles which was sadley stolen back in the 80's.I was wondering if anyone has got any of his bibles if so could you please tell me if there was any anything wrote about his family PLEASE. Thank you

Rev. John Brown lived from 1722-1787. He was orphaned at an early age, becoming a shepherd at age 12 or so..and then rose from obscurity to being one of the foremost teachers of his time. The family Bible was meant to be used during family devotions and was one of the most popular Bibles from the late 1700s to the late 1800s. There are several copies still around because these old Bibles were treasured and handed down complete with family histories.

my friend has an old book 'The Word Of The Lord' BROWNS FAMILY BIBLE by Rev John Brown - Minister of the Gospel Haddington

the book is deteriorating and has no dates of publishing - it has detailed old world pictures and old world map of Palestine

We are curious to know if any other of these books exists
